Question for the bravest of rage quitters

I gotta know, what is the number one driving force for this behavior? You get penalized in rank if you do it, along with a timeout if it happens too frequently. And there’s absolutely nothing on the line in player matches lol… So why not just finish the match and move on afterwards? Genuinely curious and would love some feedback
