Path User Vs MV Counts @ Crossings?

Does anyone know whether the city has ever (or ever plans to) monitor counts of community path users and motor vehicles at locations where the path and roads intersect?

I'm curious whether, at each crossing on the average day, path users outnumber vehicles. I would assume they do. And if so, would it make sense for the "priority" to reverse? Currently, the path has stop signs while MVs do not.

Ideally, of course, all speeds would be sufficiently low that such signage is unnecessary. But such is the world we live in.
