We need to take control of our own narratives.

I just finished watching surviving black hawk down, and let me just say that I am beyond pissed. The whole making the caadans the victims and our people the barbarians was not doing it for me, especially when they were on camera foaming at the mouth talking about killing our people.

I really wish we could tell our own stories with our own writers and our own producers. This was not it. I however don’t agree with the commentary that was being made on TikTok saying the Habos and Abtis that told their stories were sell outs. We don’t know what those people edited out and told them they couldn’t say. They just said their experiences to the best of their abilities, and that is valid.

I hope watching this documentary showed our people that your qabiil doesn’t matter, they will continue to come to our precious land so long as we stay divided and uneducated. I mean just look at the geographical location of our country. Ughhh.
