(Serious) is RC cola supposed to taste flat right out of the can?

I was never a big RC guy but there was some mild hype around cherry RC. I finally snagged a 12 pack at my local store. I chilled it down in my fridge overnight, cracked one open and….it was flat.

Is this just how RC is? I could never get into RC because I feel like they don’t put enough carbonation in or something. Not trying to diss the RC Stan’s because I know it’s got a good fanbase, just genuinely trying to enjoy it and am having a hard time with it.
