What if Squad Strike were more common in Smash Tournaments?

TLDR; What if Smash tournaments used character switches like Sparking Zero ? How would that affect the meta and balance complaints?

Personally, I think Ultimate is balanced enough that a low tier character piloted by a good player could beat a high tier who is also piloted by a good player.

However, some people in the Smash community, and in various fighting games, often complain about certain characters being too strong or "broken".

In the Dragon Ball Sparking Zero communtiy one argument I have heard, is that while certain characters are definitely stronger (i.e. SSJ4 Gogeta vs Master Roshi), you can build teams of characters you can switch between within a match. Limits destruction points assigned by the game to the characters also stop players from building a team that is too overpowered. Now whether it is true that DBSZ succeeds at properly balanceing itself is not my point.

However, this got me thinking: Ultimate has Squad Strike - Tag Team option which allows for a different character for each stock. To those who dislike the game's balance, what if Smash tournaments used it more often ? Tournaments organizers could then decide that S and A tier characters, should be restrained to a certain number of stocks.

For instance, you can't play PyMy, Sonic and Fox together, but you can have an S or A tier with 2 lower tiered characters.
