The Sims 4 Blast from the Past Event

Okay so the next event has been confirmed to be "Blast from the Past" (source linked), showcasing items from previous sims games unlockable similarly to previous events like Reaper's Rewards and Cosy Celebrations through some tasks for event points

However, my question for those of you who thought that them hiring people for something regarding the old games and updating The Sims 3 to fix the Alder Lake issue and were talking about how it may be a remaster of one of the old games...how do you feel knowing that the fix and this event are likely what they were talking about? That instead of the remaster you all wanted, they instead gave you a few items from the old games.

Also, secondary question to everyone else, what do you think about the look of this event? Particularly in comparison with the previous ones? And how does everyone feel about how soon after Cosy Celebrations ended this was announced?
