Just a bunch of questions when I should be sleeping. Warning: LOTS of words.

Honestly, I'm curious to know about the disintegrating weapons, explosives, Uber, & alternate game modes in the Community Servers.

Judging by the Scout in the last SB vid, I don't think killing them by any means does anything to hinder their movement...

So I guess I'm asking:

Disintegrating Weapons

  • Would Dr. Grordbort weapons help survivors to fully disintegrate parts of the SB, since they force the model to disappear?

Explosives

  • Do the SB's parts (like the Scout from the last SB vid) move via the animation bones within the mercs? Or is it more of a will of the SB that moves it, regardless of the body's functionality?
  • As a follow up to that question: would giblets still work as extensions of the SB to assimilate / move on their own, making explosive weapons an incredible way of increasing its assimilation strategies?

Uber

  • There's no way that Uber would save someone, right?. A touch is a touch, whether you can die or not

Community Server Gamemodes

Deathrun, info from https://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Death_Run

  • SB on RED:
  1. Immediately takes hold of everyone in the server that spawned on RED
  2. SB can be slowed down by the path ahead, letting it get weakened by spending parts of its body to make it through the traps
  3. allowing for the mercs alive on BLU (who happen to use disintegrating weapons) to risk their lives for a shot at stopping it at the showdown (if it has a lapse in judgement & a piece of it hits the "Fight" button at the end out of habit)
  • SB on BLU:
  1. Immediately takes hold of everyone in the server that spawned on BLU
  2. SB uses their knowledge to try & guide the RED team through the traps safely & quickly to get as many to survive as possible
  3. SB speaks in a friendly players voice to have them choose any option besides Humiliation, in order to try and collect as many of them as possible (some being against the idea, thinking something's wrong)
  • and any situation they land in giving the chance for any players killed in the final interaction to be absorbed into the SB

SlenderFortress, info from https://slenderfortress.fandom.com/wiki/Slender_Fortress

  1. Can always see where the other players are if it is on BLU team, and can hear everything they say
  2. SB is hindered by the CPU creature meant to kill them
  3. Touching alive RED players lets them continue the hunt, even if the main body of the SB is sent to BLU team
  4. BLU team ppl that had died to the CPU creature would get hunted by the SB once a part is sent there
  5. Only reasonable escape is to escape the CPU creature
