Did someone pay to be cast on Selling The OC?

The whole Ali casting is really taking me out of enjoying this new season. Obviously this show is fake, but goddamn Netflix at least try to make it seem natural. Why would Oppenheim hire a total rando with no real estate experience? It's just way too forced. Did this MAGA ghoul pay to be on the show? I don't get it at all.
