A *friend* has just scammed I think

A friend of mine just lost her partner a few months ago. So she has been posting about things she needs to sell.

She had a nice golf cart for a reasonable price. I told her I'd take it. Then she started getting insistent on payment. Yeah, this should have been my first clue.

So after fussing around, I sent half for a down payment with the rest due at delivery.

Then, she started insisting that I pay the rest. Saying "do this rn". "Do it this way rn". This was NOT like her at all.

So now I'm afraid I'm out my money. I think my one saving grace in my attempt to claw back my money, is when I sent the money they venmo - I sent as paying for goods - which is what I'm doing. So I've disputed the charge thru both venmo and my bank.

Think I'll get it back?
