My pld screen cracked

My pld screen broke (ipad) and i did not put screen protection💀💀 does the applecare warranty cover? Because it says that accidental damage, hardware service excess replacement and priority access is covered and that applecare+ (which is what i have until 15 sept 2024) gives unlimited incidents of accidental damage but i just wanna be safe and ask if it actually works and how long its gonna take because i need it to revise for 口试😭😭
