MYSTERY SCAM CONTROLLER

I recently purchased this groovy controller from eBay to play 6 button games but it's actually just 2 DIFFERENT ABC BUTTONS FOR SOME REASON?? I've tried to Google image search it but only found it coming with a sold french megadrive so this is a big mystery. It seems to be trying to immitate another 2 controllers which have that colour scheme and are ACTUALLY 6 button however they have logos.

In the second picture you can see that each 2 buttons go into the same solder point therefore having the same input response.
