I don't like normalcy organizations

Note that this post is under the perspective that the universe doesn't has obviously dangerous SCPs which cannot be disclosed to the public AT ALL (7179, [[what happens after]] etc)

Like, I get why they would want to exist, however imo they are only good in short-term.

Yes, panic will be prevented, humans will remain "sane", However, should we prevent research and innovation from happening, simplu because we are afraid of how the masses react?

And before you say it, yes, I am aware of dangerous SCPs like 682, 3125 etc. However, wouldn't public knowledge, in the end, help with solutions on how to kill, or, at least prevent the effects of the anomalies? Of course, I'm going from a more optimistic perspective, however that is simply my opinion.

People say humanity will always start panicking and in the end ruin everything, but we do not react as a monolith, do we?

After some time, the "normal" world will get used to the "abnormal", And then, perhaps, good will happen.

I would love to see a universe where none of the normalcy organizations have formed, and humanity was always exposed to the anomalous, I would love to see how it goes.

ALSO! I am not saying that we should release all info about the anomalous at once, no, of course no, we aren't stupid. At least, making humanity gradually get used to small parts of anomalous will be easier, wouldn't it?

Yeah, I may be overly optimistic, however, we should at least have hope that the humanity will do good.
