Illustration vs Visual Studies
Hey, I’m currently looking at colleges and as of now, Ringling is my #1 choice. But I’m not sure in my major. To anyone currently or who has majored in Visual Studies, can you give me some details on how the program works? I know it’s basically a bunch of minors strung together, and I like the idea of customizing my own education, (my lazy ass will probably be more motivated) I need to know: is the structure good? Will I receive guidance and have engaged teachers? And what’s the benefits of this major compared to the Illustration major (I’d probably minor in Creative Writing if I go that route).
Let me know what’s going on with all that, or maybe just direct my to some YouTube video, idc. Also if there’s anything else I should know in general about Ringling, I’d appreciate the advice. Thanks in advance! (I scream into the void)
Edit: I did a lot of yapping here, so I’m going to simply my question: I’m debating on weather to choose Illustration or Visual Studies as my major, since while I think Visual Studies sounds like a good choice for me, I can’t find a lot of info on it wheather through videos by Ringling or students. I only get results for Illustration. I’m worried that it’s not a good program and would be a waste of time.
