Real Debrid + Debrid Media Manager + 4XVR or Skybox = Quest Streaming Heaven
If you're still watching content on your quest via web browsers, stop what you're doing and hear me out
For about a cheap cup of coffee a month, plus buying 4XVR or Skybox, you can watch on demand, high bitrate, 4K content on your quest! No Plex Server or Kodi or sideloading required
What you need:
- Real Debrid(referral link)
What's Real-Debrid? Real-Debrid is a multi-hosting service that provides users with access to premium links from various file-hosting websites such as RapidGator, Uploaded, and FileFactory, among others. Essentially, it acts as a bridge, allowing users to download torrents/files faster and stream content at a higher quality. This service also caches a vast amount of content, making it possible to torrent quickly even if there are no seeders. They also provide a WebADV login that you can use for different apps, including Skybox and 4XVR
Here is a photo of their packages
This is a simple browser app that lets you search for, and add, whatever you want to watch to your real debrid account. Login uses your Real-Debrid login
These are both also available for sideloading on Rookie, so no need to purchase if you don't want to
And that's it! Sign up for your Real-Debrid subscription, use the WebDAV credentials it provides you to sign into 4XVR/Skybox, and then load up Debrid Media Manager! From there, just search for and add what you want to "Instant RD" and it will be in 4XVR/Skybox 10 seconds later, ready to watch in all its 4K (or whatever quality you chose) glory!
EDIT: it appears the timing of this post was a little awkward, as Real Debrid has as of the day of the post gotten into some legal trouble in their host country of france. for myself and many other users, everything in regards to movie+tv show torrents (can't speak for file hosting) is working as normally as i and many other can tell. that being said, do your research and decide if that's all too risky for you. and if you do decide to do it, use alias emails + cards or pay with crypto. speaking for myself, i will probably ride out my account until/if they get shut down, and will keep using a VPN as i have always done
