P2s just seem expensive to insure?
Searching other posts, it looks to be a fairly common thing.
I am looking at going from a 2018 Challenger R/T to a 2021 P2. I had my insurance agent run a quote in a VIN in the area and it shot up almost $100 a month!
28 male, no accidents, no speeding tickets, ever. I pay $150 a month right now for full coverage on a RWD manual sports car, but the cheapest he could fine was $240/month for a P2 with the same coverage as I have now. I’ve been paying right around that for 5 years when I first bought the Challenger.
He claimed it was because Polestar isn’t nearly as established as other brands, so there is more risk on the insurance company when it comes to unknown repair prices and whatnot.
Sorta a kick in the dick as that essentially eats up most of my gas savings :/
