How many of you also legit buy games?
I used to be a big pirate back when I was a kid, since I had zero money to buy any games. Now that I have a career and a stable income, I sometimes buy older games which I used to play as a kid.
Some of my reasons are as follows:
- These games were used to bring me a lot of fun when I was young, and I now think about giving back to the developer for the fun I had.
- I would like to have them in a single location (Steam preferably), always up to date and play anytime I want. Having a digital library is convenient since I run out of space saving my pirated games installers.
- Features such as cloud savegame sync, progress tracking, achievements and mods are good to have.
- As a patient gamer, I rarely buy the latest games, since I have a huge backlog, I tend to buy games at max from a year earlier. I get games at a cheaper price, bug-free and optimized and don't have to mess around with patches and crackfixes.
Anyone else in the same category as me, buying games and building a digital collection?
