Can they sue me?

Hi guys!! Hope you doing good!

I just got an email that one of my pins (that I didn’t upload, just pinned from discovery to my board) is deleted due of copyright. The whole email is written like it’s my fault that someone uploaded it and stole the copyright. But I didn’t uploaded it in the first place..

At the end it’s saying the persons who’s copyright owing can sue me if they want and they need to forward all my data to them.

How can that be? Can they really sue me? I’m from Germany. I’m really scared and thinking to not using Pinterest anymore. I didn’t uploaded it but they acting like im responsible for it. Did someone experienced same?
