GGG's Support Response Times Are Unacceptable — Why Does This Happen Every League Launch?

I recently started playing Path of Exile and was genuinely excited to dive deeper into the game. However, my account was locked 4 days ago, and despite reaching out to GGG Support immediately, I've received no response. Looking through older posts and forums, it seems this is a recurring issue every league launch — support response times extending to 2-3 weeks or more.

Why is this the case?

GGG knows the surge in activity during league launches. It’s predictable and happens every time. Yet, they seem to do little to mitigate the resulting delays in customer support. Why not hire additional support staff temporarily to handle this influx? Why are players, who have invested time (and often money) into the game, forced to wait weeks — potentially even months — for a response to regain access to their accounts?

To make matters worse, from what I've read, when support finally responds, the issue often isn’t fully resolved. Instead, they ask for additional information, and then you're back to waiting weeks again for another reply. This endless cycle of waiting is incredibly frustrating and unacceptable for a company of this size and reputation.

For a company that's been running Path of Exile for over a decade, this lack of preparation comes across as unprofessional and incredibly frustrating. It makes me question whether investing my time in this game is worth it. If a company can't provide reliable support during peak times, does it really deserve its players' loyalty?

GGG, please reconsider your approach to support. Many new players, like myself, will think twice about continuing if we can't trust that issues will be resolved in a reasonable timeframe.
