Okami 2 in progress ?

Many of us, myself included, are eagerly awaiting a sequel to Okami. However, nothing has ever been confirmed. Ikumi Nakamura did tweet 3 years ago that she'd like to work on a sequel, but since then, nothing.

For those who don't know, Ikumi worked as an artist on the game alongside Hideki Kamiya, the game's director.

In 2019, Ikumi left Tango Gameworks to found her own studio: Unseen, and since last year, the studio has been active on the networks. Which leads me to show you a video from 3 months ago where we see Ikumi answering questions from the community, and, of course, the subject of Okami comes up again.

The question about the progress of a sequel is not answered and is open to interpretation. Nevertheless, in my opinion, she nods as if to say "yes, but I can't talk about it yet".

She could just as easily have avoided the question and not answered because nothing has progressed, leaving the question open to doubt.

I don't wish to spread any rumours, but just to let you know that Amaterasu has not been forgotten and that, perhaps, we'll have the chance to see her again one day!
