My Clingy Classmate Won't Take a Hint – Am I Overreacting?

So, there’s this girl in my class, let’s call her D. She only talks to me and a few people in my group. And whenever it’s about roaming around college, she’ll only choose me or another classmate.

She tags me in those reels like “Tag the best people you’ve met.” Sweet, right? But honestly, it’s starting to feel a bit cringy. She’s super into literature, published her first book, and is a straight-A student. That’s all great, but I can’t help feeling uncomfortable when she’s always around me.

There have been so many times when I’m busy, and she just starts telling random school stories or whatever. And I’m the kind of person who can’t outright tell someone to stop talking. So, I just sit there or try to distract myself. Even when I start talking to someone else, she doesn’t get it. She keeps talking until she decides to stop.

Yesterday, for example, I was talking to another classmate, M, about how our parents are pressuring us to do UPSC. Then D just jumped in, loudly talking about her "big dreams" of becoming an IAS officer. Me and M tried ignoring her and kept talking, but she just got louder and louder until we gave up.

And then there’s the guilt-tripping. If I say no to going to the canteen with her, she’ll say something like, “I expected you to come,” in this Malayalam tone that makes me feel like I did something wrong.

And top of everything, she shamelessly come sit with me even when am with my boyfriend whom I met after month cuz of LDR. These things make me pissed as fuck :)

What do I do? I try to avoid her, but she keeps sticking to me. Is she actually annoying, or am I just overthinking this?

TL;DR: There’s a girl in my class who clings to me, interrupts my conversations, and guilt-trips me if I don’t hang out with her. I can’t tell her to stop directly, but it’s getting annoying. Is it her problem, or am I overthinking?
