It's okay to be disappointed at how it looks and lacks easy improvements (e.g. analog triggers), but wanting a completely different form factor or name is terrible business.

As someone who has been a Nintendo fan since the NES days, I can understand why people are disappointed at the console not showing some new gimmick or big innovation. But I think that will come in ways we don't expect. Nintendo will still surprise us with some secrets. They are a super creative company at heart they are not going to shut off their creativity.

I can also understand people wanting a more interesting name. I would love it to be called the Super Nintendo Switch. However as Nintendo fans do we not want Nintendo to be successful and gain stronger foothold in the culture? We don't want to see things go the way of the Wii U and Gamecube where Nintendo were struggling no matter how great the games on the consoles were.

The normies get confused easily and for them Switch 2 is perfect, as is keeping the Switch form factor. As fans we should be pleased with these decisions even it's not what we prefer.

However the one big flaw with the Switch 2 is the aesthetic. There have been mockups here with more interesting designs. E.g. colored letters or even colored buttons (e.g. Super Famicom) and more lines or shapes on the system. This would have kept a lot of the long time Nintendo fans happy and differentiated the console from its predecessor more. This is the thing that disappoints me the most.

Nintendo should have also gone for an easy win by adding analog triggers and hopefully the d-pad on the Pro controller will be of a much higher quality. It's not wrong to be disappointed about those things.
