Is Posting too often hurting my channel?

Is posting too often really a thing that can hurt your channel? Or does that fall under “no one really knows”?

I have posted once a week for the last 7 months. On occasion I may post a second or third video in the same week. Usually the additional videos are either a short or a 1-5 minute video. Is that hurting my channel?
