I cried at my baby's vaccinations

I am a first time mum and took my baby for her vaccinations, whilst in the room I was in uncontrollable tears. Luckily my husband was in the room to hold the baby. Is this normal to feel so overwhelmed? The idea of her in pain was just too much for me to watch and I had to leave the room
