How are we supposed to use all of these blankets?

My daughter (1mo) received so many blankets, many of them handmade. However we also practice safe sleep so she isn’t using blankets for sleep for the foreseeable future. I hate to not use these gifts for months on end. How is everyone else using the blankets they received?
