InfinityMice Speed V2 Mid - First Impressions

InfinityMice Speed V2 Mid

Disclaimer: I'm still in my honeymoon period and my shorts tests were with a R1 PRO MAX with obsidian dots and with a 2yo XM1R with stock skates

Introduction

After doing a poll and get a wider view on what pad I should get, I ended up getting the speed v2 mid and oh boy, that was one of the best decisions I made this year.

I've received the package (sent by Doctor Mouse) today and after opening with a minor incident (cut my finger trying open the box) I went straight up to the Kovaak's.

Physical characteristics and Build Quality

The first thing I noticed was how smooth and comfortable it's. Since it's the mid version, I was expecting something with almost no give and with a hardness almost on the same level as my qck+, but I got surprised with a softish PU base with considerable amount of elastic sensation, a texture that reminds me of a super smooth raincoat and a very good resistance to humidity.

Besides that, the stitching is top notch (couldn't even notice while playing).

Performance

Speed wise, from what I read online, I was expecting something blazingly fast and almost uncontrollable; My expectations got totally shredded since I felt a consistent, fast and yet controllable surface. Indeed, there's almost no static friction and the dynamic friction is noticeable slower than my new qck+, but I don't think I can consider the pad 2x faster than the qck+ (at least in the dynamic friction department).

After trying for a bit in Kovaak's (and beating all my PBs on the VDIM static advanced) I went to Valorant (played about 4 matches) and it's a breeze (not the map) to play with this pad; initially the flicks overshoot for quite a bit but, by the second half of the first map, I was able to land them more consistently than what I was with the qck.

From the pads that I've owned, The ranks would be:

Speed wise: Speed V2 mid > AMP500 > Otsu XSOFT (new) > QCK+ (new) = Otsu XSOFT (2yo)

"Control"/Consistance wise: QCK+(dry env) > Speed V2 MID > Otsu XSOFT (new) > Otsu XSOFT (2yo) > AMP500 QCK+(humid env)

Conclusion

For the moment, I think this pad is my endgame but I'll only know for sure after I get over the honeymoon phase and see how durable it's.

If you are over the wall thinking if you should get a speed pad for tac fps (tracking heavy fps this pad is goated for sure) and you also are interested in this pad, I would totally recommend you to give this one a chance.

P.S: As far as I remember, this is the first review I wrote, so I would appreciate some constructive feedback!
