My Mortal Kombat OC: Songhua!

A messy sketch with a bit of flat coloring but I just wanted to draw out most of the main idea with the character. Not everything here is accurate to what i want with her but I’m still kinda proud at how she turned out. Her design is to look like what the women wear in Outworld (did you know that most of them show their toes? Like why is that? I felt obligated to also draw that out but I wasn’t sure how to incorporate it into her style yet).

The main inspiration for her look comes from Chinese hanfus and her origin was inspired by Chinese mythology. I don’t have a set backstory for her but I can say that she also has the ability to shapeshift like Syzoth and uses mystical powers through her dizi flute (a Chinese bamboo flute) as one of her main sources to fight and of course the classic martial arts.
