My mom took my daughter to her first movie

I’m pissed. Is that unreasonable? Would you be pissed?

My husband and I wanted to take our little girl to her first movie at the movie theatre. But we didn’t feel like she was quite ready yet, since she isn’t one to sit still for any length of time. She’s two (28 months). My mom did not ask us ahead of time, and I told her I would have preferred if she’d asked first. She said she didn’t think it would be a big deal.

Edit: Thank you all for the comments and different perspectives. I just got off the phone with them. Guess my mom actually took her booster seat from home so she was buckled in. So it went well. My daughter loved the movie, was telling me about “the king,” (they went to Mufasa). Seems like they had a great time. I’m not pissed anymore just a little sad I missed her first movie. But thanks to those who offered a fresh perspective. It was a nice memory for them together. And we will have our own first movie date someday.
