The crazy amount of harassment I get in chats as a woman [SEA SERVER, F23]

Warning, it will be rant ish. Just hoping some girls can relate. I’m not a crazy player by any means, I love playing with my boyfriend and my long time male friend (we are a trio) and I don’t take the ‘climbing’ too seriously.

For context, I got put on the game when I was like 15-16 and I couldn’t figure out the game for the life of me, played on and off and then my friends put me on AGAIN, and I started being not bad.

I was at around 39 stars last season, and after season refresh, the chats never fail to make me uncomfortable– my username was my name (I really didn’t think much of it) but now I think I’ll have to pay to change it. My boyfriend often has to text back for me to tell them to stop but obviously it just eggs them on more. What’s even worse is that I got muted for fighting back against getting dog piled by 3 guys in the chat. They said they gave 1/3 guys a warning. Wtf is this? When we’re picking heroes they’ll say stuff like “I want to marry x” “I want x to come home with me” or they’ll just spam my name in the chat. And yeah, it’s almost always Indonesians.

I love playing the game but the fact that reporting seems to do nth about this drives me mad :-( Wonder if any other girls experience the same esp in SEA server

Edit: didn’t realise it would cause such a kerfuffle lol. anyway. 1) these r men my age, not kids like u r all saying 2) the phrases are loosely translated from bahasa indonesia, it just can’t be translated accurately but yes included are sexual threats - I am half Indonesian so I understand it 3) i don’t expect anyone to understand until they’re just trying to play a game and they experience it 🙏
