Miniso East Coast Regional Manager

In all my previous jobs, I’ve never encountered such a lack of clarity, vagueness, and unprofessionalism. I’m not sure who Miniso has in charge of their U.S. locations, but based on both my experience and what I’ve read online, working for Miniso doesn’t seem worth it. As a customer, the experience is fine, but as an employee, it’s terrible.

The East Coast regional manager, who, as I recall, oversees Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, conducted all communication via personal cell phone, often responding late and with vague, typo-ridden messages. The entire hiring process was handled through her personal phone—no official emails, confirmations, or forms to finalize the offer. I know it was her personal number because her Snapchat was linked to it.

A week after the interview, she added me to a group text with other new hires, but her introductory message was riddled with misspellings and poor grammar, which left a bad impression. Furthermore, many Miniso stores in North Carolina reportedly have issues, including lack of employee discounts, with pay rates of $13 for Sales Associates and $15 for Shift Leads.

Found a tiktok video showing off one of their recent openings. I do not blame the staff that did work hard, but the higher ups who didn't have things planned out.
