New district rules?

So I’m a part time unloader at Lowe’s and for I’d say the past year we’d be coming an hour early to finish and unload the truck faster and before the night team comes so all the stuff is organized and out on the floor. Recently my asm called me and told me to not do that anymore and to clock in at the scheduled time when I’m back. ( I’m on vacation). I wonder what changed but also it sucks cause we’re a group of 3 unloaders and they never hire anymore to help.
