Question about practice and play time

My son is on a club team that practices twice a week and has 2 tournaments a week. We signed him up for little league too to play a couple games on week days. We don't want to miss club practices or ll games, but ll practices may overlap on times of club practice. If your kid was good but didn't show up for ll practices, only the games, would you assume they would still be able to keep a decent position on the team or would it be expected they don't get as much play and are lower in batting line up based on the fact they don't show up to practice, only games? He's still getting lots of practice in (probably 5 days a week we practice), but may not make it to ll practices.
