Career Change from Urban Planning

So, I made some career mistakes in my 20s and now, at age 30, I'm trying to make a course correction. Following an undergrad degree in environmental studies, a few years ago I completed a dual masters degree in urban planning and public policy from a highly regarded program. I have now worked as a planner in a couple of different capacities. However, I've realized in the past year or so that I need to do something more creative with my life. I love what planning represents in theory, but in practice I find it quite dull and draining. I would love to be in a position to do actual design work, ideally for a municipality, to shape what cities and towns look like in a more tangible way.

I realize it might seem ridiculous to go back to school after getting not one, but two masters degrees. Thankfully, I didn't go into debt for my graduate degrees, so my only loans are from undergrad and are very manageable. I'm wondering if anyone on this subreddit has made a late-stage switch from planning to landscape architecture. If you did, are you happy with your decision? Is there any chance that my experience could qualify me for a two-year (rather than three-year) MLA, or is that unrealistic? Any general thoughts and advice or specific recommendations? Thank you!
