bruising 2+ years after mpfl reconstruction surgery

so! for starters in october 2023, i had mpfl reconstruction on my right kneecap/knee. i had my ligament replaced by one in my thigh. for the past year or so, every time i've kneeled for a small amount time, ive ended up with a decently sized bruise, slight swelling and insanely tender spots. i'm not known to have any clotting issues, vitamin deficiencies, etc. i just want to know if anyone else has dealt with this 🥲 (my work requires cleaning where i have to be on my knees for a small amount of time) and if anyone knows WHY this happens. my knee also significantly hurts more in the cold, to the point i have to wear athletic tape too.
