Thoughts on how people treat show Louis

I’ve been trying to think of a way to articulate this for days but after the S2E7 reveal the amount of people I’ve seen waiting to jump at Louis throat is kinda insane? Like it was some kind of gotcha moment where they’ve been waiting for Louis to “mess up” and admit their secret hate for him while simultaneously wanting to downplay Lestat and Armand’s behavior towards him.

After the reveal of him fighting Lestat back for choking Claudia and sayin to “go with” Lestat’s version of Claudia’s turning it’s just weird. Like yes Louis isn’t perfect nor an Angel but the way they describe him you’d think he was the devils incarnate who abused Tf outta everyone 😭 It’s like they just KNEW he was the bad one all along. Like this man has ALWAYS been unstable. What do you expect when you went through the things he’s went through? He doesn’t know how to regulate his emotions besides bottling them up until they explode.

I also find it funny we know he’s an unreliable narrator but so is everyone else. The stories are from THEIR perspective. So suddenly when he says “go with Lestat’s version” everyone accepts it? (I’ve seen ppl say Lestat never lies from the novel but ain’t that what narcissists do? Lol their word is the truth and you just remembered it wrong.)I can see some of their stories overlapping to some truth. But I don’t think we’ll every truly know.

I know a part of the reason why unfortunately but the fact it could get worse with more show exposure makes me uncomfy :( I also don’t want to feel like Im overreacting but it’s kind of becoming a pattern between some commenters here and on tiktok.
