progressive denied me renters insurance b/c my dog is a terrier?

I am a first timer renter that finally has my own studio space. I have liability for my car with progressive and they have a deal where you can bundle auto+renters. I called today and informed them about my dog (im really unsure what breed he is but i mentioned he is possibly a terrier mix and is a small 15lb dog) and they told me im not eligible for insurance with them??? This really confused me and honestly sucks and I never knew they even did this. My apartment offered me renters insurance with folioguard by appfolio but i havent looked into it.

Should i just switch insurances entirely with my auto plan or find another insurance provider that doesnt have breed restrictions?
