Chemical smell again in NWI!

From Starke county here, I have seen other reports this year of a chemical smell at night or in wee early hours. Yesterday it was very pungent and over the last 3 months I have smelled it off and on. It could be piles of trash burning from the surrounding area, could be industrial emissions from further north blowing south from the industries near the lake, could be a natural phenomenon of some sort, could be none of those possibilities as well. Have others in the northwestern corner been smelling this as well recently or is it localized to pockets. I’m curious if this is a wide spread issue or not. This morning 1/8/24 I did not whiff it. It was bad enough yesterday I wanted to escape it.
