Is series S worth it?

Hey everyone,

I’m currently using a PS4, which I’m planning to sell. I’ve been considering upgrading to an Xbox Series S, but I’m a bit on the fence and could use your input. Here’s my situation:

  • I know the Series X is a much better console in terms of power and performance, but the price difference and availability are factors for me.
  • Selling my PS4 would cover a significant part of the cost of the Series S, meaning I’d only need to spend a little extra.
  • I’m not a heavy gamer—I play games more recreationally, usually single-player campaigns (e.g., something like Red Dead Redemption that could take me months).
  • I don’t game online or need the absolute best performance, but I’d like a decent experience for long campaigns.
  • I’m planning to move to the U.S. in September, so I’m not sure investing 50k would be wise for me now.

Given all this, do you think the Series S is a good upgrade from the PS4 for someone like me? Or should I hold out and wait for a chance to grab the Series X instead?

Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences. Thanks!
