HDMI Sync Box - Advise needed

I'm debating on whether to spruce up my little gaming area with an HDMI sync box and could use some advice. The TV is a 50 inch and I don't think lightstrips come in that size. What sort of setup are folks recommending here? Would the support beam running down the left side of the TV interfere with the light performance?
