Hamilton Khaki 9797 Anchor Dial
Recently picked up this 33mm Hamilton Khaki 9797, and I’ve been loving it! The modern 38mm Khaki Field Mechanical felt way too big for my 6” wrist, but the 33mm hits that sweet spot of comfort and proportions.
One of my favorite things about this watch is the navy blue dial—it’s subtle yet dynamic, shifting from an almost black hue to a lighter blue depending on the lighting. This navy blue version also has an anchor motif, adding to the uniqueness of the watch. It’s got a date complication and runs on a super accurate and reliable quartz movement.
I also really enjoy the acrylic crystal. Sure, it scratches easier than sapphire or mineral, but it adds so much character and charm to the watch. Plus, any scratches can be polished out, which is a nice bonus for daily wear.
For this piece, I’ve paired it with an OEM bracelet from my black Hamilton 9415A, and it works perfectly. It’s quickly become my favorite daily watch because of its history, size, and overall quality.
Just wanted to share this gem with you all! Wishing everyone a great day and happy wrist shots.
