Changes to parts are not saved

Is this a possible bug? When I make any upgrade to a part, the changes do not save when I close the game. This is only for performance upgrades, not cosmetics and loadouts. Mission progress seems fine too.

For example, I chose to level up and rarity enhance a couple parts and it all seemed normal. I closed the game to do some other stuff. But when I opened the game again the parts were back to how it was before I upgraded them. Even the synthesized parts and plastic were also back, like my inventory didnt even update. I can still obtain parts from missions fine, and mission progress still saves. Everything else is normal (or so it seems) other than the fact that I cant upgrade anything.

EDIT: The parts only reset when I close the game entirely. The reset doesnt happen when I quit the game to the title screen and load back in. But when I close my game from the console home screen it happens.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Im playing on Switch for reference.

EDIT 2: Problem solved. It really was just awkward saving. Just save or load a blueprint to "save" the inventory like a commenter said. For future reference in case someone in the future finds this.
