Labels loan artist money to make albums. They can pay up to $3M+ for an artist to record an album for sample clearances, features, studio time, and mixing. That’s why Vultures 1&2 were the way they were and why Donda was and sounded like an expensive album. One reason he made it with Ty is so that he wouldn’t have to pay for features out of his pocket when he already had one, & Ye albums usually dan have lots of features. And why the mixing wasnt nothing compared to Do da. Compare Future last project “Mixtape Pluto” to his others, which mixtape pluto was only paid for by him, which is why it doesnt sound expensively and crisp mixed.
