Fenix pro vs. Epix pro vs. Approach S70 (Preferably 42mm)

I'm looking to enter the fitness watch market sometime in the near future and I'm stuck between these three models. I do not own any smartwatches at the moment and have just been using my phone for data tracking and Strava. My use case is the watch is for:

  • Running: I run anywhere from 15 - 20 miles a week currently. I'll continue to train for half marathons, 10ks, maybe I'll do 1 marathon in my lifetime (depending on how my next half marathon goes)
  • Weightlifting
  • Bike rides: I commute to work via bike some weeks, 15 mi round trip total. I've trained and ridden in 100+ mi road events in the past
  • Golf: I play at least once a week. It would be really nice to pull up the course map and keep score on my watch rather than fumble with my phone during a round.

I'm stuck between the three models in the title. I haven't tried them on in person, but I feel like anything bigger than 42mm looks enormous, and would potentially bother me while swinging a golf club. I'm 6'-2" with a 7" circumference wrist for context. I prefer the profile of the S70 approach the most, being that it's the thinnest at 12.6 mm. Am I missing out on too many features going with the S70 instead of the fenix/epix? The S70 is also anywhere from $250 - $350 cheaper than the other two as well.

My other concern is the battery life on the S70 / Epix 42mm. Apparently they only have about 4 days of use when the screen is on the always on setting (I would really prefer to have the screen always on). Has anyone bought either of these in 42 and been annoyed at the minimal amount of battery life? If so, perhaps the fenix would be the best choice.

The flashlight feature on the fenix/ epix pro seems handy as well. I do about half of my runs in the evening and it would be really nice to have a strobing light going for safety.

Which one would you pick given my use cases?
