Bird deterrent alarm

My warring neighbours are having a dispute over birds. one of the neighbours has set up an ultrasonic noise alarm which goes off constantly. Are these legal? It is pointing into my other neighbours yard (at his bird coup!!!) above the fence line. Driving me crazy!!! NSW Any help or experience with this. I personally don’t not want to engage with the neighbour because they seem very irate about the birds etc.
