gameboy advance doesn’t turn on anymore :(

i’ve had this gba since i was a kid, and i last remember it working sometime when i was in college (2018-2022). i just put fresh batteries in it but now it doesn’t turn on :( any idea if it’s salvageable? there’s definitely some corroded battery residue left in the battery compartment, but i’m pretty sure that was there when it was working before, so not sure if that’s the issue. i am ITCHING for the nostalgia of playing it again, so any help is appreciated!!
