Stubborn Acne Around Mouth / Nose. Is it folliculitis?

Hi all,

I had previously posted this on r/tretinoin a few months back, but I never received any replies. I've been following this page for a while now, and I think what I have may be folliculitis.

Copying exactly what I posted on r/tretinoin below with a few additions / changes. Thank you for your help in advance!

So I've had this acne around my chin for over a year now and it just won't go away. It comes and goes in phases but when it comes it stays for a long time. I have no idea what causes it or how to make it go away. Could it be folliculitis or PD? Should I try Nizoral? I'm not sure. Any help and advice would be appreciated.

I stopped applying tretinoin to this area but still use it on the rest of my face. I don't really get acne anywhere else than this now. I've tried changing my cleanser and moisturizer but nothing helps. I don't have good insurance so going to a dermatologist isn't really an option.

Also, I've noticed that it gets worse with shaving, I avoid the active area but soon after I shave (8-24) I'm flaring up with new pimples / bumps / can feel them coming.

Thank you in advance for your help!
