1711, The Peace of the Povenets Forests

The Great Northern War has ended.

Tsar Pyotr of Russia accepts the humiliating peace terms of Karl XII. Russia lost Muscovy, Ukraine and Karelia to Sweden, even ceding Arkangelsk as part of the treaty.

What was once Poland is now divided between Prussia and Courland, the Swedish protectorate (and the casus belli of the war to begin with) that had emerged as a regional power under Karl XII's wings. A similar path is what his other "friend and ally", Tsar Gazi of the re-established Crimean Khanate is eyeing. Maximilian Wilhelm, whom Karl XII put on the throne of Hannover looks less ambitious - but then, he's only 9 yet.

Denmark - is a memory. Even in Iceland. Sweden is the undisputed ruler of the North.

Meanwhile, Frederick of Prussia seems to be obsessed with earning himself the adjective "the Great", fighting a death match for the Holy Roman Empire with the Habsburgs.

Will these two exceptional characters of the 18th century forever remain on reasonable terms?

Is a war ... "unforeseeable"? Difficult, difficult, lemon difficult.
