Good early weapons and armor?

So I’m new to Elden ring and i chose samurai, I got a second katana but I really want a good armor set and a better weapon, so if there’s any armor or weapons I can get early that would be great, if you do could also Include routes to get there cuz I don’t know where anything is💀
