Life Gain + Group Slug Decks

I’d like to build a white/green life gain deck, however I thought it could also be fun to include red burn cards for a group slug sub-theme as well. Is this a normal combination, or am I going to crash and burn myself instead of my opponents?

Would love to hear some favorite includes or jank in a deck like this people have tried out!
