Will they thicken up or should I combine?

I've been 🔒 since July 2022. Do you think my locs will thicken up? I prob have around 120-140 locs. I always thought thicker locs look better and last longer, but it seems I will have small locs. Thinking maybe combining to around 80/90 locs. I guess i would be considered having a lot of hair, so would this look right and is this the right choice?
