WTF is This Game?

This game is just pure insanity, in a good way. I went in thinking it was going to be Elden Ring easy mode.

It’s not.

I’m still early in the game. I just got to the capital but haven’t claimed the throne or whatever. I took the advice from other Redditors and explored. I’ve been walking. A lot. Exploring. I’m strong enough now to kill those alligator guys. And trolls are not that bad with my team of pawns.

But

The sheer randomness of what happens when traveling is hilarious.

I walked all the way back to the first village to level up my vocation because my dumbass didn’t think to do it at the capital. But I also wanted to explore. Upon wanting to return, I was like, fuck it, let’s cart this bitch. And I dozed off.

I woke up to a goddamn Griffin attacking the cart just before the bridge to town.

The griffin won.

It killed everyone, including the cart. I ran toward the town in hopes of getting back up. Thankfully the griffin didn’t cross the bridge.

I happened upon a cave. Killed a lot of alligator men and their toxic red volcano counterparts. Then the epic boss music started and I was fighting a fucking Chimera.

The Chimera won.

I have no idea what I’m doing. I’ve leveled up. Bought weapons and armor. I haven’t enhanced them yet but I still can’t kill that fucking Chimera.

Anyways this game is a lot of fun. I thought there running back and forth would suck but it doesn’t. Also, how does a ferrystone work? I found one but I can’t use it.
